In a festive celebration to commemorate the achievement of 20 million TV units, PT. Sharp Electronics Indonesia (Sharp) proudly introduces the latest line of their LED TVs. These products, namely the Aquos LC-32LE185i and LC-40LE185I-WH series, are locally produced at Sharp’s LED TV factory located in Karawang, West Java.
TV LED Sharp: Aquos LC-32LE185i dan LC-40LE185I-WH
These two latest LED TV variants have their own advantages, with the Aquos LC-32LE185i presenting a 32-inch screen and the LC-40LE185I-WH with a 40-inch screen. Sharp has high hopes for this 40-inch LED TV, considering that the screen size is currently popular among the public.
According to Johnny Sudirman, Production TV Division General Manager of PT. Sharp Electronics Indonesia, 40-inch TVs have significant growth potential in Indonesia. This is supported by the increasing purchasing power of consumers in the market.
Increasing Market Potential
GfK reported that the 32-inch LED TV market has stagnated at 45 percent, while the 40-inch size has seen significant growth between 2013 and 2016, ranging from 5.3 to 9.4 percent. Seeing this potential, Sharp is ambitious to make good use of it.
“We believe that purchasing power in Indonesia will continue to increase. Therefore, there will likely be a shift from 32-inch to 40-inch sizes, and we want to capture this market potential,” Johnny explained when interviewed in Jakarta.
Price and Launch Date
The Aquos LC-32LE185I-WH TV will be available in the market at a price of Rp 3,119,000, while the LC-40LE185i-WH is priced at Rp 4,459,000. Both models are scheduled to launch in the market in late October 2016.
Technology Excellence: Japan Quality 7 Shield
One of the attractions of this TV is the Japan Quality 7 Shield protection standard that is applied. This protection includes resistance to vibration, drops, lightning, voltage, high temperature and humidity, heavy loads, and product stability. This shows Sharp’s commitment to providing quality and reliability in its products.
Sales Target
This year, Sharp has set a sales target of 12 thousand units per month for 32-inch LED TVs, while for 40-inch TVs, the target is 7 thousand units per month.
By launching high-quality local LED TVs, Sharp hopes to meet the needs of Indonesian consumers while contributing to the growth of the growing 40-inch LED TV market. This launch is also in line with Sharp’s vision to continue to provide the best innovation and quality to its loyal customers.
